ABOUT
VIDEOLAB is an independent video art studio collaborating with artists, live performers and cultural organisations. Providing vibrant visuals for events, music and dance productions. Based at the shore in Leith, Edinburgh.
Led by Mettje Hunneman, an accomplished and prolific video artist hailing from Amsterdam’s dynamic art and VJ scene. Experienced in delivering visual projects with speed, professionalism and flair.
Since 2005 she has established her creative practice in Scotland - producing large scale video projections for a.o. Kelburn Garden Parties, Edinburgh's Hogmanay, Leith Theatre, Pianodrome, Edinburgh Mela and Edinburgh Festival fringe shows.
Her work explores the fundamental characteristics of motion. Orchestrating and composing intricate visual rhythms that transcribe and amplify the physical energy of movement and music. This synthesis is presented through immersive audio-video installations, light sculptures, multi-screen compositions, and off-grid outdoor projection artworks.
